Review your home insurance policy. Over time, your home’s needs may change, so your policy may need to change with them. If you notice there’s a need for a change in coverage, contact your Dave Millet Insurance Agency to update your insurance.  

Change air filters. Air filters can become dirty from frequent usage. If the filters become too dirty, they may become clogged and create a blockage. To help prevent HVAC issues, check your air filters once a month to clean or replace them. 

Investigate pipes for any leaks. Pipes can begin leaking at any time and cause a significant issue if left unfound. Checking your pipes for leaks may help save water and prevent further damage, especially when the cold weather arrives due to the potential for freezing pipes. 

Check your roof for damage. If your roof has any cracks, this may allow cold weather hazards to sneak into your home. To ensure your home stays safe and warm during the colder months, repair any damages to your roof immediately.    

Clear pipe outlets and vents. Prevent your pipes from freezing and being blocked by any potential winter hazards by clearing them in advance and checking them often during the winter months.
